I'm trying to grab videos from http://www.eonline.com/thevine/player.jsp?sid=nav- video and can't seem to. Is the player not supported yet? Or is it even possible to grab these types of videos? Thanks!

I haven't been able to grab this kind of stuff either; I believe this is a stream, and if true, I've asked about this elsewhere in the forum.

Hi guys,
Well the problem isn't exactly that it is a streaming video - but more in the way that the guys who made the site designed things. In this particular case, what we are dealing with is a big phat flash "container" which contains all the graphics, navigation and loads the video you see there.
Now, technically we could probably go in and figure out how to retrieve the XML playlist that this mountain of flash madness uses to list the videos you can watch - And in turn queue them all up in the PimpFish downloader - But we would never be able to tell what exact video you are looking at right now, and just pick out that one video.
So yeah, I'd say that it isn't impossible to save those videos - We'd have to give it some research, and then write a Video Downloader plugin for it.
It's cool to see that you come with a request like this, as we have built a whole new system for just this kind of thing - That is, our new SLAPfiles area on the website. We will be releasing all that in a BETA later today - So click on the SLAPfiles tab on the top of this page - and if you see new stuff instead off broken blue stuff - Then surf around and tell us what you think
Thanks!

Thanks for the great explanation. While it may be unimportant to figure out how to get at these files now, in the future, that may change. Might be a good idea in a year or so to start keeping an eye on this kind of thing, but for now, you've got plenty of bigger fish to fry.
What you may have to do is give the user a list of files and let him select them, perhaps let him preview them too. I just figure a human will tend to be better at picking out the right filenames, and it's less work for you. But, as I said, it can wait.
