(Error E1)
I got blindsided with this at the beginning of the year. My
1cpg.key
no longer works (gets changed to
1cpg.old
), and there is no place to enter any kind of registration information like we had to do last year. This error code sounds to me like it's trying to send information about me to some server somewhere - a function I most definitely don't want happening - and that that server has either had my registration information deleted, or it's gone down. I waited a week or so, hoping it might be a temporary state of affairs, and even uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail.
So, what's going on?
