When trying to use features such as "Ignore pictures smaller than" and "Skinfinder"; nothing different happens...the same amount of pictures of all sizes and types attempts to be downloaded. It is not being filtered.

Also, I'd like to see the bytes label to the above reference changed to Kbytes...not too many people work in just bytes anymore...or give us a check box for both or radio box for either or.

Hi Hometech,

The features you describe - That is all the filters - Only work on one specific grab option: Grab Pictures on This Page. So if you try that grab option with the filters - they will work.

I realize we are not very good at explaining that in our options dialog - and that dialog page has been the subject of many a discussion on our end. We are working on improving that ;)

When it comes to bytes vs. Kbytes - Then we've had that come up a few times, but we decided that there wasn't really a logical reason to change it. I mean, not a lot of people know what bytes are - and not a lot of people know what a Kbyte is - Although, granted, probably more than the "byte" crowd as this is the unit you see the most.

We chose not to change it as bytes is what the application is using internally - so we didn't have to write any conversion code - And heck, one would think that better granularity would be a feature benefit ;)

Also, it's not a very tricky conversion - Say you want to aim for 12Kbytes - Then you just add 3 zeroes. 12000 bytes is cirka 12Kbytes (granted, a bit less since a Kbyte is 1024 bytes)

However I fully see your point - Big numbers and words most people haven't seen before is something to be avoided in User Interface design.

I agree with the poster, that's why my filter hasn't worked. I suggest you change it to KB rather than bites. WINDOWS shows picture sizes in KB, and I don't want anything smaller than 15KB, it's chaotic to have to multiply it. When you put the number in the box anyway (in bites) it doesn't show the entire number, 15360, only shows the 60. VERY CONFUSING FOR END USERS.

Yeah we screwed it up a bit on that one. We'll get it fixed one of them years!
