Hello Everybody!
After PimpFish became Freeware we wanted to try and bring in outside help in maintaining and improving the Firefox toolbar extension.
The fact of the matter is that we have not had the expertise in-house to do updates for a very long time - add to that, that we have had a semi-finished updated version lying around for a very long time without being able to wrap it up... Well we thought we might as well publish all our resources and information here in the hopes that someone might come along and want to pick up the pieces and help us out.
So if you are that guy, read on!
We did lots of work back when we did the original PimpFish 2007 release and in connection with this we did a Development WIKI - Here you have all our notes, tools and documentation related to FireFox development. The original idea was that we would make all this information public, but as we have some tools in there that help accessing encrypted log files and download lists, we realized that making those public might compromise the security of PimpFish related data.
So if you are insterested in looking at the PimpFish Firefox extension development wiki, please post here or contact us via our contact form in the Help Center and we will give you a login.
It doesn't hurt to make the latest sourcecode official however, so here it is:
http://www.pimpfish.com/download/pffirefox_tlb_src .rar
There are two files in this rar - one is the current released source tree, the other (pimpfish_for_firefox_0.1.30.zip) is the old "new" version with some improvements. Main improvement here is an early version of an adaptation of the FloatBar, which we ironically enough have removed from the IE version now due to compatibility problems with IE and Win 7 - So a first step would be to purge that from the code, we reckon.
Well take a look.. Contact us if you are interested and we will take it from there!
