Welcome to the SLAPfiles portal!

The SLAPfiles portal is a place where you can get a good overview of our plugins, and user our SLAPfiles tools.

I need help! What is SLAPfiles and how do I use it?

SLAPfiles are essentially files which hold a list of URL's to download with PimpFish. You can create SLAPfiles in two ways:
1. By saving and/or sharing your download list in the PimpFish downloader
2. By using the SLAPfiles tools here in the SLAPfiles portal

SLAPfiles Tools

In the top left menu you see a list of SLAPfiles tools we have on our server. These are tools which make your life easier in one way or the other. All they have in common is that they end up with generating a SLAPfile which is, as mentioned earlier, a file which holds a list of URL's to download for PimpFish. Try clicking on the tools and see what they are all about. We are rather good at explaining everything on the tool pages ;)

Video Downloader Plugins

The main meat of the SLAPfiles Portal is to give you an overview of what Video Downloader Plugins are currectly active for PimpFish. Video Downloader Plugins that have been created are listed in the left menu. Video Downloader Plugins are scripts that run on our server and help you download protected video from a variety of websites.

Request Plugins and Plugins in progress

In the SLAPfiles Portal you can also request new plugins and see the status of up and coming plugins for PimpFish. All plugins that have been requested or are in the process of being made are listed in the right menu. Click around the menus for an explanation on what is going on :)

What do all these icons mean?

If you need an explanation on what the heck is going on with all these icons and categories here, well then it's rather simple if you take a look at the table below:
A short explanation on the requested Plugin Status Legend:
When a Plugin goes through the process of being born, these are the stages it goes through:
Plugin Requested

This is the icon your request will get at first here in the SLAPfiles portal. It simply means it has been requested and is in our system - And that one of our programmer goons will take a look at it.
Plugin Rejected

If you see this icon next to a plugin - Then this means that our goons have investigated the website and decided that we cannot for some reason write a Video Downloader plugin for this page. Grounds for rejection can be many, and usually you can see our rationale in the plugin comments.
Plugin In Progress

Congratulations! The plugin is in the progress of being made! You should see it live within a few days, and in the meantime update your Plugins regularly to make sure you have the latest stuff on your machine. To see how to update plugins, click here (scroll down a bit to see the relevant info)
Plugin is Live and working

This means that the Plugin has the honor of being live and working on the site. If you still cannot grab from the website the plugin supports, update your plugins. If that still doesn't work, check the plugin details for any comments Zabersoft or the author might have left with regards to "exceptions" this plugin might have. If you still can't find an explanation for your problems, you should report the plugin as being broken in the plugin details view.
Plugin is Paused

This means that a previously working plugin has been paused. This usually means that the website it applied to has changed in some way rendering it unusable. When a plugin is paused, we will actively be trying to fix it. If for a long period of time we cannot get it working again - we will move it into the "rejected" category.
