PimpFish Certified Sites

Welcome to the PimpFish Certified Sites Portal. This portal exists in order to give you an overview of what Video Websites are currectly certified as working with PimpFish. Lots of websites work with PimpFish straight out-of-the-box, but Zabersoft can also certify video websites, by testing them and then writing specialized Video Downloader Plugin scripts - in order to make sure PimpFish works with these websites. All currently certified sites are listed in the left menu.

To recap: Certified Sites are websites which require special processing by PimpFish in order to download videos - Certified sites are therefore uniquely maintained by us. This usually means that grabbing video from a Certified Site is almost guaranteed to work.

How do I download movies from Certified Sites using PimpFish?

If you have the latest version of PimpFish installed, you can simply go to the certified website page you want to grab from and click the down arrow on the Grab! button, then click the Grab Movies Playing on This Page button in the toolbar to download any videos you see playing. You can also use the Follow Links on This Page And... Grab Movies command to grab any movies that are linked to - e.g. if you are viewing a playlist page. (These features are currently only supported in Internet Explorer)

You will notice that when grabbing from Certified Websites there will be a green globe icon next to the Grab options which are certified to work.

If you are using an older version of PimpFish (pre v.2010), or PimpFish Basic, then you should download the latest version of PimpFish (which is now Freeware) in order to download the video from

How do I play movies after I have downloaded them?

More than 90% of videos downloaded from PimpFish Certified Sites will be in Flash Video format - Which means that you need a special player to playback the video on your computer. As we are cool dudes, we have hooked you up with a free, high quality, FLV player:

I need help with SLAPfiles! What are they, and how do I use them to share my downloads?

This page used to be the SLAPfiles Portal where you'd get information mainly on SLAPfiles. We changed things around a bit, and decided this page should focus on our Certified Sites. SLAPfiles are an essental part of PimpFish however, so here is some information on what they are all about:

SLAPfiles are essentially files which hold a list of URL's to download with PimpFish. You can create SLAPfiles in two ways:

1. By saving and/or sharing your download list in the PimpFish downloader
For Help on using SLAPfiles in the PimpFish Download Manager, click here

2. By using the Video Download tools here in the SLAPfiles portal
In the right menu you see a list of Video Download tools. These are tools which can make your life easier in certain (rare) situations. All they have in common is that they end up with generating a SLAPfile which is, as mentioned earlier, a file which holds a list of URL's which PimpFish will download. Try clicking on the tools and see what they are all about. We are rather good at explaining everything on the tool pages themselves :)
